Job Title: SEMH Practitioners (Teaching Assistants)
Axcis is proudly supporting a Alternative provision with their recruitment for a number permanent roles, due to expansion.
Day Rate: £95+ dependent on experience and qualifications
Location: Bolton
Position: Various
Contract Type: Full Time Temp- Perm
Hours: Mon- Thu 8:20AM- 4:20PM Fri 8:20AM-2:30PM
This role would suit practitioners from all walks of life, including but not limited too, Sports Coaches, Artists, Musicians, Teaching Assistants, Pastoral Leads and Youth Workers.
We’re looking for dedicated, resilient, and energetic individuals to join our growing team in a range of rewarding roles:
Role Type 1: SEMH Practitioner
Support students (GCSE & Post-16) in the classroom, helping them stay engaged, build confidence, and achieve their potential.
Role Type 2: Intervention Support
Take learning beyond the classroom—deliver therapeutic support and accompany students on exciting off-site activities like outdoor education, trampoline parks, and community trips.
Role Type 3: Pastoral Support
Be a key figure across three provisions—ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and that every student’s plan is followed with care and consistency.
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience working with young people aged 11–18
• Understanding of SEMH needs and effective support strategies
• A driver’s licence (essential for off-site activities)
• Adaptability and a proactive mindset
• A great sense of humour (a must!)
• Commitment to a full-time, permanent role
